SiyaKwazi Organics - Short Skills Program - Basic First Aid

This foundational course equips learners with the essential knowledge and skills to carry out Basic First Aid treatment in the workplace.

Learners will gain practical understanding of emergency scene management, patient assessment, CPR, bleeding control, and managing shock or fainting.

The course includes practical assessments to ensure competency in real-life scenarios. No prior medical experience is required.

NQF Level 1 (116511)

This skills programme is aligned with Unit Standard 116511 and is designed for individuals operating in low-risk work environments where prompt, informed responses to injuries and emergencies are crucial. Emphasis is placed on personal safety, emergency communication, and assisting casualties until professional medical help arrives.

This course supports compliance with South African Health and Safety Regulations and is ideal for employees, supervisors, and safety representatives.

Upon successful completion, learners will be able to recognize common workplace injuries, respond effectively in emergency situations, and demonstrate responsible first aid procedures.
